Transfer collections manually to another device

You can also transfer your collections manually from one device to another at any time without syncing, using the backup and restore function.

Instruction

1. Create a data backup on the device where your current collection is located. Simply use the integrated backup function of the smasi app.

2. Transfer the backup copy as a ZIP file to your target device. To do this, you can use an available storage location such as iCloud or Google Drive, which can be accessed from all devices. If necessary, you can also carry out the transfer by email. In the 'B backup' dialog, select the 'Transfer' action to pass on the backup to the target device.

3. On your target device, you can restore the backup file directly in the smasi app (see 'Restore' command).

4. If necessary, you can set the collection to 'Read only' to prevent conflicts due to changes on both sides. You can set write protection using the 'Rename' command.
