Here we explain how to use the synchronization functions in smasi.app optimally and what aspects need to be considered.

Basics

A general introduction and a comparison of the various synchronization options in smasi.app can be found here:

Once you have decided on a suitable sync service, you can familiarize yourself with the specific procedure for synchronizing your collections here.

First-time synchronization

To begin, take the device that contains your most recent data.

1) Set up sync service

To use the sync feature, you must first configure or activate the desired sync service on each device. Start on the 'Collections' page in the menu at the top right with the command 'Set up sync'.

For more information on how to customize individual sync services to your needs, please refer to the corresponding instruction:

Once the desired sync service is available, you can close this dialog box.

2) Select sync for specific collection(s)

You can activate synchronization for each individual collection. To do this, call up the 'Sync' command for your desired collection.

3) Upload the first data set from the collection

You can then upload the entire content of your collection initially and make it available for your other devices.

4) Perform synchronization on other devices

You can now execute synchronization on your other devices. To do so, first set up the synchronization service (see above). Then, you can click on 'Refresh' to display the available collections via synchronization and download them when needed.
